Almond Flour Brownies

This small batch almond flour brownie recipe is baked in a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan to make 8 petite brownies! The almond brownies are thick, chewy, and 100% gluten free. They have no specialty ingredients and taste exactly like your favorite regular brownie! 

Prep Time

        Prep time: 5 minutes
    •    Bake time: 33 minutes
        Yield: Serves 8 - 10

Special Equipment:

        1 9 x 5 inch loaf pan


        Pinch of salt
        110g almond meal
        1 tsp vanilla extract
        125g unsalted butter
        (1 1/2 cups) white sugar
        3 eggs lightly whisked 335g
        (1/4 cup) Dutch cocoa powder
        Chopped 125g Dark Chocolate chopped


  1. Preheat oven to 180C/160C fan forced. Grease a 20cm (base measurement) square cake pan and line with baking paper.
  2. Place butter and chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a saucepan of simmering water (don’t let the bowl touch the water). Stir with a metal spoon until melted. Remove from heat. Quickly stir in the eggsugaralmond mealcocoa powdervanilla and salt until just combined. Pour into prepared pan. Bake for 35 minutes or until a skewer inserted in the centre comes out with moist crumbs clinging. Set aside to cool completely.
