Cinnamon is well known for its blood-sugar-lowering properties. Apart from the beneficial effects on insulin resistance, cinnamon can lower blood sugar by several other mechanisms. Cinnamon has also been shown to decrease the amount of glucose that enters the bloodstream after a meal.
How to use:
Cinnamon quills are sourced from the inner bark of the cinnamon tree. They are commonly used in beverages since they have a sweeter and richer taste compared to the cassia. They are also a great addition to breakfast porridges, cereals, acai bowls and puddings because they compliment the sweet flavours really well.
